No account. Local management. SafeSprout does not upload app usage details to a developer server and contains no advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs.
Scope and provider
This policy covers the SafeSprout iPhone / iPad app and this official website, provided and maintained by The SafeSprout developer. Management features are intended for parents, guardians or adults authorized to manage the device.
This policy describes the current version. Apple handles its operating system, Screen Time, device backup and biometric services under its own policies.
Data processed on your device
The app saves the following information on the device to provide the features you choose:
- App and category identifiers and daily rules: identifiers supplied by Apple’s system picker, allowances and enablement states, used to configure limits.
- Daily management states: locked rules, rules allowed by a parent for the day, pending unlock requests and recent monitoring errors, used to coordinate the app and its extensions.
- Preferences: safety choices, language and the biometric quick-verification preference.
- PIN verification materials: a random salt and a password-derived verification value, failed-attempt counts and a waiting deadline, stored in the system Keychain. The PIN is not stored in plain text.
Rules and management states use a local shared app container so SafeSprout and its system extensions can work together. We do not offer live usage-detail reports or transmit this data to developer servers.
Screen Time and biometric permission
Screen Time: after you authorize through Apple’s system interface, FamilyControls, DeviceActivity and ManagedSettings configure daily limits and requested system protections. Management features cannot work without permission.
Face ID / Touch ID: used only when you enable quick verification on a supported device, to unlock parent management. The system performs verification; the app receives a result and does not read or store face data, fingerprints or biometric templates.
The current version does not request contacts, location, photos, microphone or camera access for screen management. Revoke Screen Time authorization in system Settings or disable quick verification in the app’s parent settings.
Retention and removal
Rules and preferences stay locally until you change or remove them, or the system removes the app container. Daily locks and exceptions reset when the local date normally advances. Old app identifiers and rules are cleared when authorization is lost.
To stop management, first turn protection off or revoke authorization in Settings, then remove rules or uninstall as needed. Turning protection off withdraws this app’s restrictions and preserves settings; it does not delete all data.
PIN materials use a device-only Keychain item without iCloud Keychain synchronization. Keychain items may survive app removal. There is currently no one-tap deletion or cloud recovery, so uninstalling or reinstalling is not guaranteed to delete or reset the PIN. The system may handle other app data according to your device backup settings. The app offers no separate cloud synchronization.
The developer has no server copy of your local rules or PIN materials and cannot remotely view, recover or delete them.
Children and families
Management is intended for parents, guardians or adults authorized to manage the device. The app does not ask for a child’s name, age, birthday, contact information or location, or create child accounts.
An authorized adult should grant system permission and set the parent PIN. Agree on time limits together, and avoid sending children’s personal information or private content to support.
Website and technical logs
This website provides product information and documentation. It has no login, online data-collection forms, advertisements, analytics scripts or tracking cookies. Resources are served locally and fonts use system typefaces. Language selection uses page links without storing a preference.
To deliver web pages, hosting and network providers may process IP addresses, browser information, request paths, access times and necessary technical logs for delivery, security and troubleshooting. Actual retention depends on hosting settings and provider policies. This processing is separate from local management data in the app.
Information sent to support
If you voluntarily email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you provide to handle and reply to your request. Include only information needed to understand the issue. Do not send your parent PIN, a child’s identity information or unredacted private screenshots.
Support correspondence is retained only as needed to address the request, provide reasonable follow-up or meet applicable legal requirements. Use the same contact channel to ask about access, correction or deletion. Support cannot access or reset your device PIN.

Updates and your choices
You can decline permission, turn protection off, modify local rules or stop using the app. If data practices change, we will update this policy and its date. Additional permissions will be explained and requested through the system before their features are used.
